March 24th is World TB Day and is celebrated globally each year. This day is set aside to increase public awareness that TB remains an epidemic in most of the world, causing the deaths of nearly one-and-a-half million people each year, mostly in developing countries.

The theme of this year’s World TB Day will be “Unite to End TB”! The tagline for the campaign was decided by Partners and stakeholders and is meant to resonate the dynamic and unifying call for strong mobilization on the ground as well as high-level advocacy. The Red Arrow will also continue to play an important role throughout the campaign and sees 2016 as the year where all join ranks to “Unite to End TB!”

Footballers For Life supports World TB Day 2016 and joins hands with all partners and stakeholders to raise awareness and drive advocacy on TB in South Africa and the world.
